Account Deletion
YallAmigo allows you to permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from the app. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. This process is immediate and irreversible.
Important: Active Subscriptions
If you have an active paid subscription, please cancel it through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings before deleting your account. Deleting your YallAmigo account does not automatically cancel your subscription with Apple or Google, and you may continue to be charged until you cancel it directly with them.
How to Delete Your Account
Follow these steps to delete your account from within the YallAmigo app:
- Open the YallAmigo app on your device.
- Go to the Profile tab by tapping the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen.
- Tap "Delete My Data" to begin the deletion process.
- Enter your password to confirm your identity.
- Confirm the deletion. All of your data will be permanently deleted.
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Account information -- your username, email address, display name, password, and profile settings
- Messages -- all text messages you have sent and received
- Files and images -- all photos and files you have shared in conversations
- Audio and voice messages -- all voice recordings you have sent
- Friend connections -- your entire friends list and any pending friend requests
- Conversation history -- all conversations you have participated in
- All other personal data -- notification preferences, language settings, device tokens, and any other data associated with your account
Data Retention After Deletion
Nothing is retained.
When you delete your account, all of your personal data is permanently and completely removed from our systems. We do not retain any personal information after account deletion. This action is immediate and irreversible -- there is no grace period or recovery option.
Alternative: Request Deletion by Email
If you are unable to delete your account through the app (for example, if you have lost access to your device or cannot log in), you may request account deletion by contacting us directly:

Please include the email address associated with your account in your request. We will verify your identity and process the deletion promptly.
Guest Sessions
If you have used YallAmigo as a guest (without creating an account), you do not need to request account deletion. Guest sessions are temporary and expire automatically:
- Pending guest sessions expire after 7 days.
- Approved guest sessions expire after 24 hours.
Once a guest session expires, all associated data is automatically cleaned up from our systems.
